You, Me, and Debt Consolidation

Yes, this is an article, but consider this more of a conversation between two friends. We all have debt issues. I am no different from you, I have numerous bills as well. I have credit card bills, utilities, a mortgage, and car payment. Basically, you name it, I have it. You are no different I am sure, the world we live in has everything to do with credit and little to do with anything else. So, here we sit with massive debt, sometimes it gets out of hand. For one reason or another, we often find ourselves unable to make more than the minimum payments or even unable to make the payments at all.

So, what do we do? Well, my advice to you, from one friend to another, is to take the same road to redemption as I did debt consolidation. I know, you, like I did, are probably thinking, I do not need to consolidate my debt, I got it under control, but do you really? It took some real soul searching and reality checks for me to figure out that I really did not have it all under control. Do you need debt consolidation? Well, let us find out. Ask yourself the following questions. Now, be honest with the answer, you do not have anything to prove to me, you need to be honest with yourself.

Can you pay more than the minimum and still afford your other bills?

Do you struggle from one paycheck to the next, with nothing left over?

Do you have a constant stream of letters, emails, or telephone calls from bill collectors?

Are you paying your debt, but finding it difficult to keep up with the everyday living necessities?

Has your debt basically taken over your life?

Do you have more debt then you do income?

Consider the answers to these questions. If you can answer yes to any or all of them, debt consolidation may be the key to debt freedom for you. Debt consolidation allows you to combine all the debt that you currently owe, into one. You will deal with one payment each month and one creditor. No multiple creditors or multiple payments, bill collection calls and harassments stop, and your financial life is much easier to manage, when you realize that your debt is out of control and seek help with debt consolidation.
